This site is built to work without tracking you. This page explains the little that is stored, and why.
What a cookie is
A small file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies — local storage and session storage — do much the same thing, and are covered here too.
What we use
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Essential session data | Keeps the site working while you move between pages and lets a form submission complete | Until you close the browser |
| Local storage used by a free tool | Holds the data you enter into a tool, on your own device, so it is still there when you come back | Until you clear it |
| Referral parameter | Some links carry a ?from= tag showing which page or printed code sent you. It is part of the web address only; nothing is stored. | Not stored |
What we do not use
- No advertising cookies
- No cross-site tracking, no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags
- No selling or sharing of browsing data
- No third-party analytics that identify you personally
Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, does not identify you and does not track you across sites.
Your tool data stays on your device
Free tools on this site store what you enter in your own browser’s local storage. It is not uploaded to us. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently and we cannot restore it — export anything you need to keep.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage through its settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of this site from working, including form submission.
